About the role
As a Project Engineer within our Oil & Gas Business Unit, you will manage the day-to-day execution of inspection and audit projects assigned by the Operations Manager — from order validation and inspector mobilization through to final reporting and invoicing — ensuring compliance with client expectations, contracts and industry regulations.
Key responsibilities
- Verify that POs, service orders, work orders and contracts match agreed terms, escalating discrepancies to the Operations Manager.
- Coordinate the assignment and mobilization of inspectors: certifications, travel, visas, security passes and mission orders.
- Prepare written instructions and Project Quality Plans for inspectors, and organize client kick-off meetings.
- Follow up daily on inspection progress, ensure inspectors submit timely reports, and monitor invoicing values against client POs/Service Orders.
- Review and deliver final inspection reports to clients within contractual deadlines.
- Support tender preparation (CVs, QHSE and technical documentation, scopes of work, commercial budgets) and keep project management tools and document control systems up to date.
- Manage administrative aspects of inspector deployment: time sheets, expense sheets and invoicing support, and evaluate inspector performance at the end of each project.
- Propose and vet new inspectors to strengthen our field resource pool.
Profile & requirements
- BS in Engineering or another technical/scientific field.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in technical and managerial roles within an oil & gas service company.
- General awareness of codes, rules, regulations and standards applicable to drilling rigs and rig equipment.
- Fluent in written and spoken English; French, Arabic, Spanish or Portuguese are a plus.
- Strong organizational skills, comfortable managing multiple simultaneous projects and stakeholders (clients, inspectors, internal teams).
- Proficient with standard office and project management software.
- Based full-time at our Abu Dhabi office, Monday to Friday.
