General project information
A drilling contractor secured a contract with a joint-venture based in Kuwait. Dolfines was tasked with performing a third-party independent inspection of the drilling rigs to provide an expert assessment to both the drilling contractor and its client, thus providing those companies with technical data allowing them to decide whether to consider the rigs fit for operation.
Our mission: Ensure an independent assessment of the rigs’ condition to confirm their operational suitability and readiness.
Methodology
A team of two inspectors was deployed, one specialized in mechanical systems and the other in electrical systems. Each drilling rig was audited individually over a period of seven days. To ensure consistency and quality across inspections, the same inspectors were assigned to the entire project. Final reports were delivered immediately after each inspection, ensuring maximum responsiveness and allowing the rigs’ operational fitness to be quickly verified.
Project Results
Daily reports, a final report, and a non-conformity list were delivered to the client.
