RUN TEST VALIDATION

The final check

At the end of the commissioning, 8.2 Advisory recommends performing an analysis of the SCADA data collected during the Run Tests.

A review of SCADA data collected during the Run Tests period ensures proper acceptance of the wind turbines by identifying and resolving any technical issues or power limitations before the wind farm enters in the operational phase.

RUN TEST VALIDATION

THE OBJECTIVES

Validate the criteria specified in the Turbine Supply Agreement (availability, power limitation, etc.).

Advise clients on contractual criteria to consider for future projects.

Identify technical issues through log code analysis.

Verify the correct implementation of environmental curtailments.

Detect unexpected curtailments.

HOW WE WORK

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

Availability and log analysis

Identification of frequent failures and recurring technical issues to monitor on each wind turbine that affect turbine availability.

Curtailment analysis

Verification of the proper implementation of environmental curtailments to ensure compliance with environmental restrictions, and detection of unexpected curtailments that may impact energy production.

Comparative performance analysis of wind turbines

Evaluation of turbine output and power curves to identify the lowest-performing machines and estimate potential performance gains.

Performance analysis using artificial neural networks

This approach models the statistical behavior of turbines through “learning” to assess the stability of turbine performance.

Operational parameter analysis

Investigation of the causes of performance variations by analyzing parameters such as pitch angle, rotor speed (rpm), nacelle alignment, etc.

KEY FIGURES

0 %

of turbines are generally affected by aerodynamic imbalances and require adjustment.

+/- 0 °

Photometric measurement accuracy of +/- 0.1° for blade angle deviations

0 to 50 years

Recalculated lifespans ranging from 21 to 50 years for a sample of 170 wind turbines, initially designed for 20 years
