We offer a structured approach to assessing the maturity of a company’s safety culture. This assessment is based on a self-evaluation survey that analyses internal behaviours and perceptions regarding safety. It enables organisers to understand the dynamics at play, identify gaps and define concrete action plans to improve their HSE performance.

OUR METHODOLOGY

THE STEPS TOWARDS SAFETY

1. Data collection: questionnaire

The maturity assessment allows data to be collected and qualitative statements about the perceptions and beliefs of all staff to be quantified according to ten themes, mainly using a rating scale (strongly disagree to strongly agree) and prioritisation.

2. Site visit

In addition, field observations are carried out to analyse behaviours and practices during daily activities, which helps to identify discrepancies between procedures and operational reality. Finally, discussions with employees (individual and/or group) are scheduled to understand their perceptions and expectations, with the discussion guided by the questionnaire results.

3. Analysis & report

All the data collected on the various topics is cross-referenced to determine the level of maturity of the organisation’s safety culture.

4. Roadmap: Developing a Safety Culture

In the final stage, the organisation must define its priority topics in line with its corporate strategy and objectives, based on various parameters that are discussed during a workshop.
Finally, the organisation participates in a final workshop to define specific actions and a roadmap for improving its safety culture.
