THE JOB
We are looking for a Technical Expert (M/F), ideally experienced in wind energy and/or the use of video endoscopy, to strengthen our team and carry out onshore technical audits and technology monitoring for our clients, mainly in France and occasionally abroad.
In a role that combines fieldwork and writing, your assignments will include a strong operational component, with visits to wind farms to carry out technical audits, as well as the preparation of reports to present your findings.
- Remuneration: from 35K gross per annum, depending on profile.
- Contract: Permanent contract
- Working hours: 39 hours per week
- Mode of work: On-site for inspection, teleworking for feedback
- Location: France and International
YOUR MAIN TASKS
Technical expertise on onshore activity:
- Technical inspection of wind turbines.
- Operations in dynamic mode (actions on the control and command systems).
- Verification according to manufacturer standards, or conformity according to regulations in force.
- Additional expertise: metrology (various measurements with specific equipment), installation of equipment necessary for the control of industrial processes of wind turbines or photovoltaic parks.
- Expertise support: assembly and/or disassembly of mechanical and electrical components and other
- components, with respect for tightening torques.
- Performance expertise: rotor imbalance check, blade pitch angle check.
- Video endoscopy or rope-assisted rotor inspection.
- Blade check and inspection on the nacelle or from the ground.
- Participation in the collection of information relating to safety, personal safety and that of accompanying persons.
Commercial, technical & administrative aspects:
- Drafting of reports or audit reports carried out on site.
- Updating of event monitoring documents.
- Technical support for the commercial activities of 8.2 France.
- Informing customers about the progress of inspections.
- Gathering information from the customer regarding their satisfaction at the end of the inspection.
Technology monitoring, research & development, innovation:
- Participation in the preparation of training provided by 8.2 France,
- Involvement in theoretical customer training,
- Involvement in practical on-site training,
- Other possible tasks within their area of expertise.
You are the ideal profile, If you are...
- Graduate with a BAC/DUT/BTS in energy, maintenance or wind power.
- Expert in the field of wind power and open to the idea of training you in video endoscopy, or expert in the use of video endoscopy and tempted by the wind power adventure. Ideally, both!
- With at least 5 years’ field experience.
- At ease with office tools (able to write technical reports)
- At ease in English, as the majority of our reports are written in the language of Shakespeare.
- Mobile in France and internationally
- Holder of a category B driving licence
