TECHNICAL DUE DILIGENCE

COMBINING STRATEGIC VISION AND TECHNICAL RIGOUR

The Technical Due Diligence (TDD) service aims to ensure the compliance and technical viability of renewable energy projects. It is a process of essential checks for project developers in the financing phase or for investors during an acquisition (on the buyer side) or a sale (on the seller side).

TECHNICAL DUE DILIGENCE

OUR OBJECTIVES

Support and secure project financing files.

Define the maximum operating date for current machines.

Allow sufficient time for repowering studies and administrative approvals.

Plan for the replacement of structural components.

HOW WE WORK

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

We offer a comprehensive approach, guaranteeing complete independence in our assessments. TDD can be carried out at various stages of the project (development, pre-construction, operation).
The Technical Due Diligence service covers a wide range of topics.

The deliverable for these TDDs is a detailed report, which serves as supporting documentation for the project’s financing application. The verifications and reviews cover the following aspects:

Wind and solar yield studies:

  • Comprehensive, bankable and detailed yield studies (P50/P90).
  • Review of external yield studies.
  • Reassessment of wind potential and revision of post-construction yield studies.
  • Calculation of wake losses.

Review of authorisations and regulatory aspects

  • Analysis of administrative authorisations and building permit status.
  • Review of environmental and social constraints.

Analysis of land ownership and contracts

  • Review of land ownership, connection contracts and purchase agreements (PPAs).
  • Monitoring of the development process and assessment of possible future farms in the vicinity.
  • Review of construction and operating contracts (EPC or multi-lots, TSA/module supply contract, TCMA,
    O&M, aggregation).

Review of the financial model

  • Benchmarking of assumptions, review of CAPEX and OPEX.
  • Review of the business plan.
